Sales scored in the region ahead of Asia Television Forum
Paris, 23 November 2009 – Moonscoop, the worldwide brand management and entertainment company representing properties from some of the leading animation producers across the globe, has signed a slate of deals with key broadcasters in Asia, ahead of next month’s Asia Television Forum (ATF). The sales, totaling 350 half hours in the region since MIPCOM, were made by Moonscoop’s VP of Sales, Asia, Grace Lee who will be attending ATF.
OKTO (previously TV12) Singapore has snapped up a trio of new shows from Moonscoop: preschool shows Chloe’s Closet and Ava Riko Teo as well as new hit literary-based series Geronimo Stilton. In Malaysia, Astro has picked up the colourful ToddWorld, based on the book by Todd Parr, and NTV7 has acquired superhero crime fighting HD animated series Bunny Maloney, which has also been picked up by True Vision in Thailand, alongside deals for seasons two and three of long-running hit show Titeuf, Geronimo Stilton and preschool Cosy Corner. Bobby's World, Ivanohe and Chloe's Closet have also been sold to to Chutti TV, Sun TV’s children’s channel in India.
Moonscoop has also sold mixed-media animated Ava Riko Teo to Good TV in Taiwan, and stop-motion A Town Called Panic to EBS in Korea, while in Japan distributor Gauguins has renewed cable and satellite rights to the show.
