Taffy Entertainment has one of the leading kids' and family entertainment libraries, encompassing some of the most successful properties and best-loved animated creations in the global television market. It will be launching four brand new shows at MIPCOM 2006: Fantastic Four; SamSam; Growing Up Creepie and I Got A Rocket!
Based on the classic Marvel characters, Fantastic Four is the much anticipated animated 26x26'series for 6-11 year olds, produced by MoonScoop and Marvel, in co-production with Cartoon Network and with the participation of M6. Taffy Entertainment has television and video distribution rights outside the US, with Marvel handling US television and home entertainment as well as worldwide merchandising.
Fantastic Four is one of Marvel's most prominent comic book families. The colourful stories bring together a brilliant scientist Dr. Reed Richards, his best friend Ben Grim, Susan Storm and her fiery-tempered kid brother Johnny Storm. Once they braved the unknown terrors of outer space together and were changed by cosmic rays into something more than merely human becoming Mr. Fantastic, The Thing, The Invisible Girl and The Human Torch.…and the world was never the same again! Together they fight the evil of the universe and battle the ultimate villain Dr. Doom.
SamSam is a new comic-book based 3D animated television property produced by Bayard Jeunesse Animation in HD with a first season of 52x7'. Aimed at 4-6 year olds, SamSam is the smallest of super heroes created by Serge Bloch. With SamTeddy and his superhero parents, SamSam ventures into space in his SamSaucer and fights monsters representing his childhood fears.
Taffy Entertainment is also debuting animated series Growing Up Creepie (52 x 11') produced by Mike Young Productions; Discovery Kids, DAG Entertainment, The Story Hat LLC, and Sunwoo/Peachblossom.
Creepie Creecher is a well-adjusted young teenager who's somewhat goth appearance belies the fact that she really is quite a normal ordinary kid, except for the fact that she just happens to have been raised by a family of bugs. Scary things happen all around her as she heads off to middle school - which is infested by humans!
I Got A Rocket!, a zany new character-led animated comedy series based on the popular Australian picture books by Matt Zurbo and Dean Gorissen, is a fresh and fun animated series about a 12-year old boy and his friends. Things get a little crazy because Vinnie's best friend is a fully-functioning rocket with artificial intelligence! (artificial - but not high). The 52 x 11' 2D animated series is produced by Mike Young Productions, SLR Productions, KiKa/Europool and Sunwoo/Peachblossom.
At MIPCOM Taffy Entertainment will be based at stand R27.18
