
Moonscoop is a leading worldwide production, distribution, brand management and entertainment company, focused on producing original projects and building brands with international appeal and longevity. It is the world’s most prolific animation producer, producing many hours of original programming from its offices in the US and France.The company consists of some of the finest animation producers worldwide, complimented by a digital media arm which is heavily invested in launching new youth-oriented distribution channels on new media platforms such as IPTV, Mobile and Video On Demand (VOD). Moonscoop also features award-winning TV Distribution and Consumer Products divisions which help to bring the best-loved animated creations to global television and retail markets.
Its rights library combines many of the most successful programs and best-loved animated creations in the global television market and includes over 3000 half-hours of programming airing in more than 160 territories worldwide. Key brands include “Code Lyoko”, “Fantastic Four”, “Titeuf”(Tootuff), “Pet Alien”, “Dive Olly Dive!” and “Casper” which are licensed in markets around the world. Moonscoop’s production slate currently includes new series “Geronimo Stilton”, “Hero:108”, “Twisted Whiskers” and “Chloe’s Closet”.
The company continues to create 4-6 major new series and/or features every year.
Moonscoop was established with the merger of France Animation and Antefilms Production and the subsequent stake of a majority share in US-based Mike Young Productions and Taffy Entertainment, which all now fall under the Moonscoop label. Moonscoop employs over 350 people worldwide.
Headquartered in Paris, the company also has offices in Los Angeles, Angoulême, La Rochelle, Luxembourg and Wales. .
The Moonscoop Distribution department is tasked with selling the company’s vast catalogue of over 100 titles and 3,000 half-hours to broadcast outlets worldwide. Led by Lionel Marty, President Worldwide Distribution, he is supported by sales teams in Paris, Los Angeles and China, and a group of top sales agents in selected territories. In 2007, the Distribution department was voted the first-ever “Distributor of the Year” award by the readers of Kidscreen magazine for their innovative techniques and successful worldwide sales. They have also been among the finalists for the award each year since then.
Moonscoop also has a Consumer Products & Marketing department which is split between the Paris and Los Angeles offices. Cynthia Money is President, Worldwide Consumer Products and Marketing and oversees the day-to-day operations of the team. They handle brand management and licensing for many of the Moonscoop intellectual properties (IP) and a select group of outside brands, working with licensees and retailers worldwide, to bring licensed video games, apparel, toys, stationery, home goods and more to an ever-growing fan base.
Christophe and Benoit di Sabatino serve as co-executive chairmen of Moonscoop, initially co-founding the company with the merger of their Antefilms Production studio with France Animation in 2003.
